Metta World Peace Tweets About a World Where He's President
At least some good came out of this election cycle.
Thanks to Metta World Peace, anyone not enamored with the actual U.S. presidential candidates can travel to a magical universe where the mercurial NBA player is commander in chief. The Los Angeles Lakers forward posted a string of jokes about this hypothetical scenario on Twitter:
"Today is hashtag day .#ifmettawaspresident I would make it mandatory for referees in each sport to play their respective sport once a week
— Metta World Peace (@MettaWorldPeace) November 8, 2016"
"#ifmettawaspresident , I would have my secretary of defense be Ben Wallace.
— Metta World Peace (@MettaWorldPeace) November 8, 2016"
He understands that far too many Americans are working long hours without earning a livable wage:
"#ifmettawaspresident , I would get all my work done early and leave office after 3 months but still pay myself for 4 years
— Metta World Peace (@MettaWorldPeace) November 8, 2016"
He also took a stance on education and public service:
"#ifmettawaspresident , I would take out home room in Highschool and just head to your first class.
— Metta World Peace (@MettaWorldPeace) November 8, 2016"
I would also add Morals and Values class
"#ifmettawaspresident , I would make 5 hours of comedy per year ,in front of a crowd ,mandatory . Similar to community service .
— Metta World Peace (@MettaWorldPeace) November 8, 2016"
Don't forget about preserving the fine arts:
"#ifmettawaspresident , I would have Saturday Salsa night in the White House.
— Metta World Peace (@MettaWorldPeace) November 8, 2016"
Perhaps most importantly, he vowed to spare voters the long wait until Westeros' winter arrives:
"#ifmettawaspresident , I would require "Game of Thrones" only take off summers . Only two months off. #iamwaiting
— Metta World Peace (@MettaWorldPeace) November 8, 2016"
Then there's this:
"#ifmettawaspresident , I would put a limit on the size a fake booty could be.
— Metta World Peace (@MettaWorldPeace) November 8, 2016"
Some are way too big
This was the best edition of Metta World News ever.
