Chris Jericho Denies Rumor He Was Knocked Out by Sin Cara in Backstage Fight
WWE superstar Chris Jericho denied rumors he was knocked out by Sin Cara during a backstage brawl that allegedly took place Sunday in England.
"Hmmm haven’t been KOd since 1994 in Hakata Star Lanes. Another example of shoddy, uninformed 'journalism' from the stupid idiots at @MLW," Jericho tweeted.
MLW used the hashtag "Y2JKOd" to describe the alleged fight, which to that point did not have names attached. Justin LaBar of UpGruv.com had reported a backstage incident involving a "repeat offender."

PWInsider.com previously reported Sin Cara was involved in a backstage fight with Simon Gotch of the Vaudevillains in July (h/t Wrestlezone.com). Jericho famously had words with Brock Lesnar at this year's SummerSlam pay-per-view after the Beast Incarnate's bloody finish to his match with Randy Orton.
Jericho has also posted an Instagram video since the alleged brawl in which he does not appear to show any signs of having been knocked out or injured:
It's worth noting that he did not deny a fight took place. Odds are he will address the issue at some point on one of his various non-WWE platforms. After the Lesnar altercation, Jericho took to Chael Sonnen's podcast to open up about and downplay the incident.
Details on Jericho-Sin Cara are still forthcoming, but this isn't an uncommon occurrence. Jericho admitted to Sonnen that he has a reputation for having a hot temper, and Sin Cara also was reportedly involved in an incident with Sheamus, as former wrestler Konnan told Court Bauer on MLW Radio (h/t WrestlingInc.com).
Jericho and Sin Cara are members of the Raw brand, so we might get an idea if there are any punishments in place Monday night. Jericho has been a regular fixture in the main event scene as Kevin Owens' best friend, and Sin Cara is part of the fledgling cruiserweight division.
Odds are this situation diffuses itself pretty quickly, however.
