Conference Ratings Released: ACC Improving as Big 12 Slides Back
The ACC rebounded this week with wins over the SEC and Big 12. The Big 12 took a turn for the worse. However, the SEC remains on top of this week's conference ratings.
The SEC lost only their third game out-of-conference this season. The ACC went 2-0 and joined the rest of the BCS conferences, jumping over the Mountain West. The Big 12 is sitting in fourth place, but they have only one more out-of-conference game till bowl season (Texas vs. Central Florida).
The Pac-10 and Big East continue to surprise with their second and third spots respectively. The Pac-10 turned the tide against the MWC, going 3-0 versus a conference they were 2-6 against a season ago (including bowls). The Big East has beaten teams they are supposed to beat with a 17-1 mark against non-BCS Conference teams.
Next week, the conference ratings will help with the debut of the 2009 Official Championship Game Ratings (OCGR). The conference ratings will not move too much over the next few weeks due to conference play.
