Three days removed from the Chicago Cubs' historic World Series triumph over the Cleveland Indians, the Northwestern Wildcats decided to honor their Illinois allies.

Courtesy of WGN Radio's Adam Hoge, a parachute jumper flew the "W" in epic fashion during the national anthem prior to Saturday's football game against the Wisconsin Badgers at Ryan Field:

Saluting another Wrigley Field tradition, the school's marching band played a rendition of "Go Cubs Go" at halftime (shown above).

The Cubs' winning ways didn't rub off on Northwestern, which suffered a 21-7 loss to Wisconsin.
