Boston Celtics vs. Cleveland Cavaliers: Live Score, Highlights and Reaction

The Cleveland Cavaliers staved off a fourth-quarter comeback by the Boston Celtics on Thursday night to stay unbeaten at 5-0 with a 128-122 home victory. Boston, meanwhile, moved to 3-2 with the loss.

Cleveland was led by none other than LeBron James, who tallied 30 points (20 in the third quarter), seven rebounds and 12 assists. Kevin Love added 26 points and eight rebounds, while Kyrie Irving put in 23 points and dished out six assists.

However, the Cavs' defense wasn't good in the second half, and the Celtics took advantage. Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley pumped in 30 and 26 points, respectively, helping Boston climb back from a 17-point deficit to start the fourth quarter. Starting for the injured Jae Crowder, rookie Jaylen Brown played admirably and added 19 points, five rebounds and three steals.

Considering it was the second night of a back-to-back for Boston and it was missing both Crowder and starting center Al Horford due to injury, it should be an encouraging performance for the Celtics. However, the Cavs will obviously take the win.

The Celtics don't play again until next Monday against the Denver Nuggets, while the Cavaliers will visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday.
