NFL Week Five Point Spread Winners: NFL Mikee's Crystal Ball
Week Five of the NFL season is quickly upon us. Week Four had some unexpected surprise, as my lock picks bit the dust. Overall, I still was 9-5 against the spread, which leads me to stress to never bet on just a couple of games.
Spread out your money and get as many plays as you can in. Much better overall odds and safety in numbers. Good logical high percentage plays, and the upsets will be covered.
Lat week Dallas played miserably on the offensive side of the ball, and I had one question: Why is the number one receiver on the sidelines during a third or fourth down attempt at a first down.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Where is Roy Williams? Also, using Whitten to block when you need first downs seems dumb.
Dallas plays Kansas City in Arrowhead. Dallas needs to get right this week, after Denver shocked them into an average 2-2 record.
Take Dallas and give the eight and a half points.
Indianapolis plays at Tennessee and is favored by three and a half points. I keep not giving up on Tennessee, and because this is a division game, I would hope Tennessee has some pride left at 0-4.
Jeff Fisher will have this team ready, and I will take Tennessee with the three and a half.
Buffalo is at home against Cleveland, who almost pulled out an upset against the Bengals. Buffalo remains unimpressive, so I like the six and a half points you get with the Browns.
The Steelers need to play a full four quarters of quality football, not three. Stafford may be out however, so take the Steelers and give the ten and a half points.
Rashard Mendenhall will have another good game, as I picked him up as a backup on a couple of fantasy teams this week.
The Vikings travel to St. Louis, and no one can pick the Rams to do anything at this point in time. The Vikings are favored by 10 and a half. Take Minnesota in this one.
The Giants are at home against the Raiders. Normally this would be an easy decision, but 16 and a half points are a lot of points. Plus Eli Manning has a sore heel and may come out early.
You have to take the Giants, but any early surge, or lucky play by Oakland and kiss this winner goodbye with 16 and a half points to cover. Still, you have to take the Giants in this one.
The Eagles are at home, and Tampa Bay at 0-4 comes calling. You have to give 13 and a half points, but again, with Westbrook and McNabb back, plus the good defense of this team, I'm expecting maybe a shut-out. 21-0 would work fine. Take the Eagles.
The Panthers, after a week off, host the Washington Redskins, who at 2-2, don't look that great. Carolina is better than 0-3 and will win this game.
They only have to win by four. Take the Panthers in this one, as fortunes even out in this league at some point in time.
Baltimore is at home against a semi-hot Bengals team, who do keep these games close lately. Carson Palmer is probably better than Joe Flacco. Eight and a half points is too many to expect Baltimore to win by. I like Cincinnati big time in this one.
The Forty-Niners are favored by two and a half over a rested Atlanta Falcons team. Perhaps, the oddsmakers give the Niners a bit too much credit here, as I think Atlanta wins this game outright.
Jacksonville travels to Seattle as a half point underdog and Jacksonville is getting no respect at 2-2. This team may be 4-2 going into a bye week. I like the Jags in this one.
Arizona is at home against an on again, off again, Houston team. Arizona is favored by five and a half, but Warner has a sore shoulder. Arizona will have to put up points against this offense to keep up.
A fantasy plus if you have Slaton, Warner, Schaub, and Fitzgerald, plus Andre Johnson. I like Houston to cover the points in a close game.
New England travels to Denver, where Kyle Orton and company keep beating me week after week.
Alright, I surrender. I will finally jump on the Denver bandwagon and take the Bronco's at home getting three and a half points.
This should be the week they lose, but they keep beating me. I thought Dallas would beat them last week, and we know what happened there. Throw a couple of interceptions this week, Tom Brady.
Monday night gives a division match-up with the Jets at home against the Dolphins. The Jets are tough at home, but you wonder about pressuring the rookie quarterback with Jason Taylor and that defense.
The Jets should win this one at home, however, and the line is only a point and a half. I will take Miami. Cotchery is questionable, another receiver is down, plus some defensive guys. Look for Mimai to pressure Sanchez, and maybe force some sacks and mistakes.
This season I am slowly improving and have reached 34-28 against the spread. There is parity at some levels in the NFL season, so take advantage of good defenses against inexperience, and good offenses against weaker teams.
