Los Angeles Lakers Will Honor 1986-87 Title Team with Hardwood Classics Uniforms

For three games this season, the Los Angeles Lakers will remember a time when they ruled the NBA.

The iconic franchise will wear Hardwood Classics jerseys to honor their 1986-87 championship squad. They'll do so against three of the teams Pat Riley's Showtime Lakers conquered on their way to winning the title.

They will debut the throwback uniforms Friday against the Golden State Warriors. On Jan. 17, they'll bring the jerseys back into use versus the Denver Nuggets.

For the grand finale, they will relive the glory days of a bitter rivalry with the Boston Celtics on March 3.
