Panthers LB Thomas Davis Scoops Up Fumble, Scores TD vs. Cardinals

As explosive as Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers offense can be, it was the defense that gave the team an early lead Sunday.

On a 3rd-and-6 on the opening drive of the game, the Panthers got to Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer and popped the ball loose. Carolina linebacker Thomas Davis quickly pounced on the fumble and took it to the house.

Before the offense ever stepped on the field, Carolina had a 7-0 lead.

Davis had six tackles in addition to this scoop-and-score in a 30-20 victory.
