Liverpool Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Mamadou Sakho and Naby Keita
Mamadou Sakho looks to be nearing a January move away from Liverpool, as he reportedly "no longer exists in Jurgen Klopp's eyes."
That's according to French outlet L'Equipe (h/t Joe Rimmer of the Liverpool Echo), who reported the defender's relationship with the Reds boss has deteriorated to such an extent that only a move away from Anfield will kick-start his career.
The pair's relationship appears to have been strained ever since Klopp cut short Sakho's involvement in Liverpool's pre-season tour of the United States for disciplinary reasons in the summer.

Despite concerns over Sakho's attitude, Bleacher Report UK's Jack Lusby was unhappy with the prospect of allowing him to leave Anfield given his impressive form last season:
The 26-year-old was not moved on, but he has not made a single senior appearance this season and spoke out about his lack of game time in a late-night Snapchat post in September, per the Echo's James Pearce:
Sakho has instead been featuring for the reserve side, per Lusby:
The Reds could use his services, having kept just one clean sheet in the Premier League all season.
However, despite Klopp making 11 changes for Tuesday's EFL Cup match with Tottenham Hotspur, Sakho was still left out of the squad.
If the Frenchman is indeed fit, the snub is quite telling, and it would appear there is little chance of him salvaging his Liverpool career.
Meanwhile, RB Leipzig starlet Naby Keita has revealed he turned down Liverpool and several other Premier League sides in the summer before joining the Bundesliga outfit from FC Salzburg. He told SportNet (h/t Rimmer):
"Arsenal, Manchester City and Southampton were all interested in signing me and Liverpool as well, although I did not speak with their coach.
I did not want to join a big Champions League club right away. It is too early for that. I want to prove myself in the Bundesliga first now.
"
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a fine start to his career in the German top flight and stood out in their 3-1 win over Werder Bremen on Sunday, per Squawka Football:
Liverpool added to their midfield in the summer with the arrivals of Georginio Wijnaldum and Marko Grujic, but they arguably still need fresh blood there, with Lucas Leiva and James Milner now 29 and 30, respectively, while Jordan Henderson continues to divide opinion.
Keita is an exciting prospect but is allowing his game to develop organically with a more measured step up from Austrian to German football, and he's enjoying more regular game time as a result.
It's likely the Reds will continue to monitor the youngster's progress—in a year or two, he may be on the move again if he keeps impressing.
