Tatum's Return Brings Duke Additional Weapon
Duke gets Tatum back as the team looks to build on its 7-1 start.
Duke's heralded freshman class that Scout ranked as the country's best in 2016 was one reason it landed the No. 1 spot in the USA Today preseason coaches poll. However, the Blue Devils are now missing two impact players Scout rated as 5-star prospects.
Tatum can cause matchup problems for opposing defenses at 6'8" because of his ability to hit from mid-range over smaller defenders and beat slower ones off the dribble. He also uses his length on defense to bother outside shooters.
Tatum joins an experienced lineup consisting of seniors Matt Jones and Amile Jefferson and junior Grayson Allen, and the team is building momentum as the season goes on.
