Steve Kerr Picks Trail Blazers' Damian Lillard to Win MVP This Season

It doesn't look like Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has much faith in Stephen Curry to pull of the three-peat.

When asked about his thoughts on the MVP Award for the 2016-17 season, Kerr acknowledged the usual suspects of Curry and LeBron James. But then he threw a curveball when he named his winner.

Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard is a great player, but MVP? Maybe Kerr is just trying to light a fire under Curry so he's rolling when the NBA season kicks off Tuesday.
