Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid Discuss Donald Trump on Twitter During Final Debate

As he recovers from an injured foot, Philadelphia 76ers rookie Ben Simmons joined many Americans in watching the final presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

Like many Americans, he was not impressed with the Republican nominee's rhetoric:

He then mocked Trump's, "No, you're the puppet" comment in Las Vegas:

This prompted teammate Joel Embiid to chime in with a joke that is probably too scary to be funny:

Trump has frequently expressed his desire to deport millions of undocumented immigrants. In a speech in Phoenix on Aug. 31, he even suggested that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) may "be able to deport [Clinton]."

Simmons, who was born in Australia, assured Embiid, born in Cameroon, that he is also an American citizen:

Even though this was a lighthearted exchange, this election is causing legitimate tension among athletes and everyone across the country.
