Cleveland Cavaliers Owner Dan Gilbert Reveals 2016 Championship Banner

A championship banner is something Cleveland hasn't seen for more than 50 years. Thanks to LeBron James' heroics, Cleveland Cavaliers fans will soon be able to gaze upon one at Quicken Loans Arena.

James and the Cavaliers defeated the Golden State Warriors in the 2016 NBA Finals, becoming the first team to ever overcome a 3-1 series deficit at that stage of the playoffs. It was the first championship in Cavaliers franchise history.

Cleveland's regular season will begin at home against the New York Knicks on Tuesday, Oct. 25, where its championship banner will be unveiled for the first time at the Q.
