Oklahoma's Joe Mixon Scores TD After Hurdling Kansas State Defender

A hurdle isn't always worth the trouble. But in a Week 7 contest against Kansas State, Joe Mixon's leap produced six points.

After catching a shovel pass from Baker Mayfield, the Oklahoma Sooners running back was about to get stuffed short of the goal line. The sophomore, however, eluded a tackle by taking flight.

The score gave Oklahoma a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, and the Sooners didn't look back during their 38-17 victory. Mixon showed even more versatility in the second period, throwing a 26-yard touchdown pass to Dede Westbrook.
