Armstead's Health Hindered Development as Franchise Tackle
The 2016 season has been injury-riddled from the start for Armstead, who began camp on the physically unable to perform list. He was on the field for New Orleans' first two games but had trouble as a run-blocker.
Armstead, who signed a five-year, $65 million contract this offseason, was expected to have a big season in 2016. Drafted in the third round in 2013 mostly on his athletic potential, Armstead emerged as Brees' most reliable left tackle in years.
