Minor League Hockey Team to Wear Harambe Jerseys for Wildlife Week
The sports world has honored Harambe, the gorilla who died at the Cincinnati Zoo in May, in various ways.
Tributes have ranged from the Minnesota Vikings' Harambe chant to Bryce Harper's baseball bat knob, and the NFL even banned the name "Harambe" on customized jerseys.
The Trenton Golden Hawks of the Ontario Junior Hockey League will pay homage in their own way.

In honor of the fallen gorilla, the Golden Hawks will wear special Harambe jerseys as warm-ups during Wildlife Week.
"We felt #HockeyForHarambe was the best way to honor Harambe's life and also bring awareness to the plight of the lowland gorilla," Director of Game Day Operations Rob McDonald said in a release.
The jerseys will be auctioned off during the game with proceeds going to the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada.
Props to the Golden Hawks for honoring Harambe and raising awareness of global wildlife and environment conservation.
