The Dallas Stars open their season Thursday night and will wear a helmet decal to honor the five police officers who died during a protest against police brutality.
On July 7, a gunman shot and killed officers Lorne Ahrens, Michael , Michael Smith, Brent Thompson and Patrick in Dallas. The NHL squad will pay tribute by wearing silver decals with the badges and names of the victims.
