Manchester United Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Goncalo Guedes, Isco and More
Benfica have reportedly increased their asking price for young winger Goncalo Guedes to rival the sale that took Renato Sanches to Bayern Munich over the summer. Meanwhile, Isco has handed the Red Devils a boost in their pursuit of his talents.
According to Portuguese newspaper A Bola (h/t Goal), Benfica president Luis Felipe Vieira wants the club to bring in a significantly larger fee if they are to part ways with Guedes in the foreseeable future.

The 19-year-old's compatriot and former team-mate, Sanches, left the Estadio da Luz over the summer for a reported initial fee of £31.6 million, although it's noted that figure could rise to £72.2 million based on add-ons.
Guedes is rated as playing to a similar pedigree as his Bavaria-based countryman, too, after broadcaster Cristiano Oliveira confirmed the teenager was lucky enough to make the 2016 Golden Boy shortlist:
"Renato Sanches, Goncalo Guedes and Ruben Neves, are on the shortlist for the "2016 Golden Boy" award.

Portuguese daily Record (h/t Lucas Sposito of Sport Witness) previously reported Guedes, a client of super-agent Jorge Mendes, was a target for United and had a release clause worth €60 million (£54.1 million) in his contract.
Brazilian sport channel Esporte Interativo provided footage of Guedes' strike in a recent 4-2 UEFA Champions League defeat to Napoli, a mark of the youngster's calibre among Europe's elite:
Elsewhere, Real Madrid playmaker Isco has reiterated his desire to leave Real Madrid unless he sees more first-team minutes, per Rob Dawson of the Manchester Evening News: "If I’ve still only made a few appearances by the end of the season, I’ll look elsewhere. At 24 years of age I have the right to better myself."
Even with the midfielder's recent comments regarding his future at the Santiago Bernabeu, however, Yahoo's Andrew Gaffney has questioned the validity of claims the Spain international will leave the club:
Isco has started in just one of his four La Liga appearances this season, and it doesn't seem as though manager Zinedine Zidane values the 24-year-old very highly in his plans moving forward.
United have been associated as one of the foremost Premier League sides keeping tabs on Isco's situation in Madrid, and manager Jose Mourinho may be more open to a move for the player after his most recent comments.

Meanwhile, Timothy Fosu-Mensah has reportedly agreed a new four-year contract with the Red Devils, which will become finalised after the international break, according to ESPN FC's Peter O'Rourke.
The 18-year-old right-back, who can also play in a more advanced midfield role, has made 14 first-team appearances for Manchester United and has continued to impress under Mourinho after making his senior debut in 2016.
