Washington Sends Players, Supplies to Help Haiti Following Hurricane Matthew
While football is certainly still a focus, Washington is doing what it can right now to help a country in need.
As NFL Network's Mike tweeted Sunday, Washington owner Dan Snyder sent supplies to the Bahamas to lend support to those who were impacted by Hurricane Matthew this past week.
That's not the only thing the organization is doing to help out. Pierre and defensive end Ricky Jean Francois—both of whom are of Haitian descent—are heading to Haiti on Monday as ambassadors of the team:

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
This comes a day after Washington pulled off a 16-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. The team hosts the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, but Washington will not practice until Wednesday, giving and Jean Francois the opportunity to make this mission trip.
Via Brian of CBS DC, at least 900 people in Haiti were killed by Hurricane Matthew, with thousands more having lost their homes in the storm. Now, the country will work on rebuilding post-hurricane.
Giving back is more important than the game of football, something both and Jean Francois recognize. Their charitable efforts will help Haiti during a tough time.
Update from Sunday, Oct. 16
In his first game since the trip, Jean Francois wore special cleats for pregame warmups:
