Trumaine Johnson Injury: Updates on Rams CB's Ankle and Return

Los Angeles Rams cornerback Trumaine Johnson hadn't played since he was carted off the field during Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills with a right ankle injury. However, he is ready to return.

Rams Need Johnson Healthy for Playoff Push

Johnson is coming off a strong performance in Week 4, when he recorded five tackles and an interception in a 17-13 win over the Arizona Cardinals. The NFL provided a replay of his pick in the second quarter, which prevented a potential touchdown:

Johnson's injury comes at a bad time for the Rams, who released cornerback Coty Sensabaugh on Oct. 8, per Alden Gonzalez of ESPN.com. While Sensabaugh's performance had been underwhelming, he could have helped fill the void Johnson's injury has left.

Considering Johnson's start to the season, Rams fans will be happy to see him back in the lineup.
