Chelsea Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Yannick Carrasco and Willian
Atletico Madrid are reportedly planning to hand star winger Yannick Carrasco a new contract in order to ward off interest from Premier League giants Chelsea. Meanwhile, Willian has expressed his desire to retire at Stamford Bridge.
The Mirror reported Los Rojiblancos are eager to improve upon the £35 million buyout clause included in Carrasco's contract when he moved to the Vicente Calderon from AS Monaco last year.
It's said the Blues are looking into signing the 23-year-old next summer, although Carrasco's five-year deal means his contract in Madrid isn't set to expire until 2020.

Yahoo's Andrew Gaffney recently hailed the depth in attack Atletico have discovered with Carrasco present, and manager Diego Simeone will be eager to ensure his star remains in his squad.

Chelsea already have the likes of Eden Hazard, Willian and Pedro patrolling their wide areas, but manager Antonio Conte may seek further wing reinforcements to maximise the effect of his preferred formation.
Goal's Nizaar Kinsella provided quotes from the coach hailing the assets he possesses on the wings, although Juan Cuadrado has freed up space after leaving for Juventus on loan during the summer:
Carrasco's stock has risen rapidly in recent months, with the attacker scoring Atletico's sole goal in last season's UEFA Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid before cementing his place in the Belgium team.
Chelsea might take hope in their pursuit of the player yet, though, considering ESPN FC's Dermot Corrigan has mused the Belgian is perhaps fortunate to be as prominent a player as he is at Atleti:
Conte can at least rely upon one winger to continue giving his all in west London after Willian pledged his loyalty to the Blues amid speculation Paris Saint-Germain are interested in his services.
The Brazil international spoke to French magazine France Football and rejected any notion of moving to Parc des Princes, instead stating he wishes to see out the remainder of his days at Chelsea (h/t Goal's Stefan Coerts):
"I read about PSG's interest, but I never received a concrete offer. My family is feeling good in London and I really like the Premier League, which is the best league in the world for me.
I am still growing and we are playing some beautiful football. I aim to see out my contract here for all these reasons.
And perhaps I can even sign a renewal if the club want me to stay. I would be privileged to finish my career at a big club like Chelsea.
"
Willian was one of Chelsea's standout players during the club's dreadful 2015-16 campaign, and the Brazilian has carried some of that form through to this term.
The 28-year-old has scored 21 goals and provided 22 assists in 146 total appearances for the west London outfit, per Transfermarkt, and Chelsea will be hoping to squeeze even more out of their star as he enters the prime years of his career.
