WWE Rumors: Buzz on Road to WWE No Mercy 2016 for Week of Oct. 4
With Sunday's WWE No Mercy pay-per-view just days away, the rumor mill is churning regarding what could be in store this weekend.
Dolph Ziggler will put his career on the line in a bid to finally try to win the Intercontinental Championship, and talk is already growing about the potential result of his match against The Miz.
Rumors of a major name returning to the company refuse to go away, too, potentially in a big match against Brock Lesnar.

The Latest on Goldberg's WWE Return
It seems the rumors are seriously gathering momentum now—Bill Goldberg is reportedly coming back to WWE.
Talk has been prominent online for a good few weeks about Goldberg coming back to active competition with the company ever since he was involved in the promotional work for WWE 2K17.
Recently, talk had begun to gather pace about a potential match with Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, and according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Wrestling Inc), there is yet further buzz that the match is indeed going to take place.
Meltzer noted that unless plans fall apart, the match between Goldberg and Lesnar at Survivor Series is still a lock.
Given that he is now 49 years of age, Goldberg's return will no doubt divide WWE fans. Will he still be able to perform in the ring, particularly at a major pay-per-view like Survivor Series?
That remains to be seen, but talk of Goldberg actively competing in WWE is refusing to go away.
Is Dolph Ziggler Retiring on Sunday?
Dolph Ziggler's career is at stake this Sunday at No Mercy, where he'll try to claim the Intercontinental Championship against The Miz one last time.
If he loses, that will be it for Ziggler and WWE, and there is talk surfacing online that The Showoff may be genuinely about to come up short for real.
Wrestling Observer Live's Bryan Alvarez (h/t Wrestling Inc) noted that there is serious backstage talk of The Miz winning, meaning Ziggler would stop competing in WWE.
However, there is a reason for it, apparently. It was noted on MLW Radio and Ric Flair's podcast that Ziggler could make the switch from in-ring competitor to producer, similar to what other former talents have done in the past.
Jamie Noble is one such example, but it remains to be seen whether Ziggler will definitely follow in his footsteps. Sunday will provide all the answers.
Erick Rowan Out Injured?
There was good news in relation to The Wyatt Family when it that emerged Luke Harper was well on his way towards making a comeback.
That will give Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan a real boost, but no sooner has Harper made a significant step towards a return, and Rowan is now injured.
That's what the guys at Lords of Pain are saying, anyway. The site claims that Rowan has picked up a torn rotator cuff injury and underwent surgery earlier this week.
Furthermore, there is no update yet regarding a recovery time for Rowan. He was absent on this Tuesday's SmackDown tapings and hasn't wrestled since late last month.
How this impacts Wyatt's booking remains to be seen. If Harper comes back soon and strengthens him, Rowan's absence shouldn't be felt too much.
But it looks like it will be a while before all three are back together as The Wyatt Family.
