The 4-star prospect is the No. 3 offensive guard in the class and the No. 124 overall recruit in the country, according to Scout.com.

He became the second commit in Michigan's 2018 class, joining 4-star safety Otis Reese.

The Indianapolis native has impressive size at 6'3", 315 pounds. With almost two years until he steps onto a field in college, he has plenty of time to add strength and get his body ready for the demands of the next level.

Ekiyor's overall play led to plenty of interest around the country, earning scholarships from a long list of schools, including Notre Dame, Southern California, Oklahoma and Florida State. Despite the options, he chose to play his college ball in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he can have a major impact throughout his career.

Michigan has turned around its program in a hurry under the direction of head coach Jim Harbaugh. After the team went 5-7 under Brady Hoke in 2014, Harbaugh used his time at the helm to bring in the No. 35 recruiting class in 2015, according to Scout.com. Things changed quickly, with the 2016 class ranking No. 7 in the country.

The 2017 class ranks No. 9 overall and second in the Big Ten behind only Ohio State.

This has led to success on the field, with the Wolverines ranking No. 4 in the latest Associated Press Top 25. With a solid player like Ekiyor in the 2018 class, the future continues to look bright in Michigan.
