Golden State Warriors Will Wear Patch to Honor Nate Thurmond This Season

The Golden State Warriors will wear No. 42 patches throughout the 2016-17 NBA season to honor the late Nate Thurmond.

Both their home and road jerseys will feature a strip with his number on the left shoulder.

The Hall of Fame center died of leukemia on July 16 at the age of 74. He averaged 15 points and 15 rebounds per game over his career and double-digit rebounds per game in each of his 11 seasons with the franchise.
