LSU Students Pick Coaching Candidates to Replace Les Miles
Following a sluggish start to the 2016 season, LSU fired head football coach Les Miles. Now the Tigers must replace the man who led their squad for 11-plus years.
A school broadcast asked LSU students who should take the helm. Among their ambitious choices, Alabama head coach Nick Saban came up most often.
Yeah, don't count on it.
The Crimson Tide won their fourth national title under his watch last year and are ranked No. 1 in both major polls. He'll only appear at Tiger Stadium when LSU hosts Alabama on Nov. 5.
Other picks include Michigan's Jim Harbaugh, Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin—USA Today's Josh Peter believes Kiffin is the best candidate—and "just anyone, really."
And since they're susceptible college kids, one suggested Harambe off camera.
