New York Jets Claim Austin Seferian-Jenkins Off Waivers

• After being released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week, the New York Jets claimed tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins off waivers on Monday. In 18 career games with the Buccaneers, Seferian-Jenkins had 45 receptions for 603 yards and seven touchdowns.

• According to Noah Bullard of NBC 5 in Dallas-Fort Worth, former Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Greg Hardy was arrested Monday "for possession of a controlled substance PG1." NBC 5's Pat Doney reported that bond was set $5,000.

Matt VandeBerg Breaks Foot in Practice

• Iowa wide receiver Matt VandeBerg broke his foot during Monday's practice, per per Tom Kakert of HawkeyeReport.com. VandeBerg, who leads the Hawkeyes in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns, is set to have surgery on Tuesday, per Marc Morehouse of the Gazette.

Vernon Butler Suffers High Ankle Sprain

• Carolina Panthers defensive lineman Vernon Butler suffered a high ankle sprain in Sunday's loss to the Minnesota Vikings. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport (h/t Max Meyer of NFL.com), Butler will miss two to three weeks.

Mohamed Sanu Suffers Shoulder Injury

• Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Mohamed Sanu left Monday night's game against the New Orleans Saints with a shoulder injury. Sanu went down in the first half, and the team ruled him out for the remainder of the game in the third quarter. A timetable for Sanu's return has yet to be set.
