John Elway Calls Out Critic a Year Later After Trevor Siemian Starts 3-0

Quarterbacks are supposed to have short memories, but those who work in the front office should never forget the past—good or bad.

John Elway has played both roles (quarterback and general manager) for the Denver Broncos, and he has been able to adjust accordingly.

Elway and the Broncos drafted Trevor Siemian out of Northwestern in the seventh round of the 2015 draft. After the pick, the Denver GM took to Twitter to let everyone know the organization had high hopes for its draft pick.

One person voiced concerns to Elway at the time. Now that Siemian is 3-0 as the starting quarterback, Elway has responded—nearly 17 months later.
