Invicta FC 19 Maia vs. Modafferi: Live Results, Play-by-Play and Highlights
Nathan McCarterSep 23, 2016
Invicta FC returned for their 19th outing and it put on another fantastic show.
In the main event, Jennifer Maia edged out Roxanne Modafferi by split decision. The victory removes the interim tag from the title and makes her the undisputed champion. Modafferi nearly captured gold for the first time in her storied career, but she came up just short.
Ayaka Hamasaki retained her belt with a second round stoppage after she opened a nasty cut on Jinh Yu Frey. The doctor determined it was not safe to continue fighting for the challenger.
Six other bouts happened on Friday, and Bleacher Report was here to chronicle it all. Missed the action? Just read on for all your Invicta FC 19 coverage.
