Kristaps Porzingis Blocks Kid Who Cried When New York Knicks Drafted Him in 2015
In a shameful moment for the Big Apple, fans booed when the New York Knicks drafted Kristaps Porzingis in 2015. One kid famously cried over the selection.
He quickly realized those tears were for naught when the Latvian big man registered 14.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game during a successful rookie campaign. He has since seen the light and worn Porzingis' jersey as the Philadelphia 76ers sob instead for taking Jahlil Okafor.
Porzingis, however, wasn't done gaining the last laugh.
When the two met in a game of one-on-one, Porzingis didn't take mercy on his smaller foe. The 7'3" budding star toyed with his former critic, effortlessly swatting away every shot.
At least this kid has an excuse for not knowing any better last year. Can Porzingis embarrass Stephen A. Smith next?
