Browns QB Josh McCown Passionately Explains Why He Played Through Injury
Cleveland Browns quarterbacks are often the punchlines of jokes, but when it comes to playing through injury, nobody can explain toughness quite like Josh McCown.
In his first game since taking over for the injured Robert Griffin III, McCown suffered a shoulder injury against the Baltimore Ravens in the first quarter Sunday. The 37-year-old quarterback stayed in the game, going 20-of-33 for 260 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. After Cleveland blew a 20-point first-quarter lead, the veteran passer nearly led his team on a game-winning drive in the final minutes.
Alas, the Browns dropped to 0-2 with a 25-20 loss.

According to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, McCown is scheduled for an MRI on his shoulder. One source reportedly said "it's not looking good" in terms of the quarterback's health. Yet he played all four quarters in Week 2—because he's a grinder.
