Brandi Rhodes to Reportedly Wrestle with TNA Impact: Latest Details, Reaction

Mike ChiariSep 16, 2016

Brandi Rhodes—the wife of former WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes—reportedly signed a deal Friday to compete as a wrestler for TNA Impact Wrestling.

TMZ Sports reported Rhodes will be part of TNA's Knockouts division, although it is unclear when she will debut for the company.

Rhodes previously did ring announcing for WWE as Eden Stiles before she and her husband left the promotion in May.

It isn't yet known if Cody will join TNA alongside his wife, but Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com (h/t Nick Paglino of WrestleZone.com) reported on Sept. 5 that he was expected to work for TNA in some capacity without signing an official contract.

Late WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes was Cody's father and Brandi's father-in-law, and although he served as a booker and producer for WWE NXT in his final years, he had a stint with TNA from 2003 through 2005.

While Brandi acted exclusively as an announcer in WWE, she has a strong support system in place as she attempts to become an in-ring performer, after marrying in to one of the greatest wrestling families in history.

TNA has a deep and talented Knockouts division headlined by veteran Gail Kim, which means Rhodes will have the opportunity to learn from some of the very best as well, and that gives her a chance to be successful in the next stage of her career.
