LSU Football Will Wear 'Gridiron Gold' Throwback Uniforms vs. Mississippi State

The LSU Tigers unveiled old-school "Gridiron Gold" uniforms which they will wear against Mississippi State on Saturday.

The golden jerseys pay homage to the 1940s attire most famously donned by quarterback Y.A. Tittle. According to Fox Sports' Pete Blackburn, his campus visit a few years ago motivated the creation of these alternates.

While running back Leonard Fournette will look good plowing through defenders in any uniform, Les Miles' 1-1 squad has no margin for error after suffering a season-opening upset against the Wisconsin Badgers.
