Cleveland Cavaliers Fan Honors NBA Finals Comeback with '3-1 Lead' License Plate

Andrew GouldSep 13, 2016

The Golden State Warriors won three of their first four NBA Finals matchups against the Cleveland Cavaliers. They did not win another, thus squandering a 3-1 advantage.

They also overcame a 2-1 deficit to defeat the Cavs last year. And before making this year's title clash, they rallied from a 3-2 hole to eliminate the Oklahoma City Thunder and win the Western Conference Finals.

Nevertheless, the best team in NBA regular-season history is now relegated to trolling.

One Cavaliers fan, Conrad Kaczmarek, took the Warriors mocking to the next level by purchasing a personalized license plate that reminded everyone of the 3-1 lead Golden State relinquished in the championship series.

As he told CBS Sports' Zach Harper, the idea initially materialized from someone else on Twitter.

"A fellow Cavs fan tweeted out the idea, lamenting the fact that they didn't live in California," Kaczmarek said. "Since I do live in California, I figured somebody had to step up and make this happen."

While this meme will die on social media soon enough, it will live on California roads forever.
