Sons of Shaquille O'Neal and Metta World Peace Duel in Weekend Exhibition

O'Neal vs. Artest: It's not a blast from the past, but a glimpse at the future.

Sons of recent Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Shaquille O'Neal and NBA free agent Metta World Peace put on a show at Lynwood High School in Southern California over the weekend.

Shareef O'Neal, No. 44 in white, and Ron Artest III, No. 1 in black, dueled with great success in the Ron Massey Memorial Fall Hoops Classic, posting 18- and 14-point games, respectively.

But don't call them their dads' carbon copies just yet.

Although Artest emulated his father's passionate defense, O'Neal displayed some distinctly different shot selection—namely knocking down shots from behind the arc.

Still, for those hoping to see one more slam a la O'Neal, it seems they can count on Shareef to deliver.
