UCF Knights vs. Michigan Wolverines Betting Odds, College Football Pick
Covering 10 points in a college football game is hard enough, let alone 38, but following a season-opening shellacking of Hawaii, the Michigan Wolverines are now 5-3 against the spread as double-digit favorites under head coach Jim Harbaugh.
Michigan will again play as a huge favorite when it hosts Central Florida on Saturday afternoon at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor.
Point spread: Wolverines opened as 34.5-point favorites, according to sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark. (Line updates and matchup report)

Why the UCF Knights can cover the spread
Central Florida began its first season under new head coach Scott Frost in winning fashion, blanking South Carolina State last Saturday 38-0. So the Knights already have one more win this season than they had all of last season.
UCF led the Bulldogs at the half 18-0 thanks to four field goals from kicker Matthew Wright before pulling away in the second half, securing the cash as a 26-point favorite. On the night, the Knights outgained South Carolina State 462-223.
Injury-plagued and inexperienced, Central Florida stumbled through an 0-12 season last year. But with 17 starters back and perhaps some renewed enthusiasm under the new regime, the Knights are candidates to rebound this season.
Why the Michigan Wolverines can cover the spread
The Maize and Blue began what they hope is a run to the College Football Playoff with a 63-3 blowout of Hawaii last Saturday. Michigan scored a touchdown on its second possession of the game and cruised from there, leading 35-0 at the half and 56-0 before the Warriors hit the board. On the day, the Wolverines ran the ball for 306 yards while the defense scored twice.
Michigan quarterback Wilton Speight, making his first career college start, threw an interception on his first pass attempt before finishing 10-of-13 for 145 yards and three touchdowns.
Yes, it came against an inferior opponent, but the Wolverines also beat expectations, rolling to an easy cover as 38-point favorites.
Smart pick
Michigan looked like a machine last week, but that came against Hawaii. Central Florida isn't exactly Ohio State, but it isn't Hawaii, either. The Wolverines are going to win this game; it's just a matter of the final margin. But coming off a 60-point rout and playing at home probably means the spread on this game is inflated by touchdown or so. If the Knights can just put up 17 points, they stand a great chance of covering.
