NASCAR at Darlington 2016: Live Results from the Bojangles Southern 500

Martin Truex Jr. didn't have the fastest car, but he led the only lap that mattered to capture the checkered flag in Sunday evening's Bojangles Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway in South Carolina. 

Truex led just 28 laps on the night but took advantage of opportunities when they came his way to hold off Kevin Harvick down the stretch and take home his second win of the season and first career at the Lady in Black.

Harvick was the dominant car on the track for much of the race.

He led a race-high 214 laps but was undone by a pair of bad pit stops late in the night that cost him a total of 17 positions on the track and forced him to make his way back up through the field. Those extended stops turned a possible win into a second-place finish.

Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano rounded out the top-five finishers. 

NASCAR's regular season concludes Saturday night with the Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond International Raceway.

It's the final race before the beginning of the Chase for the Sprint Cup, and with two spots yet to be locked up, you can expect the competition to be fierce.
