As the New York Giants finish their preseason schedule Thursday night, plenty of familiar faces will be missing in action when Big Blue takes on the New England Patriots.

It isn't a complete shock to see the majority of Giants' starters sidelined. The front office and coaching staff use the preseason finale to get a feel for fringe players, as backup roles are usually on the line.
