Triple H vs. Seth Rollins' Best Booking Options After WWE Raw
When Triple H returned Monday night on Raw to help Kevin Owens beat Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship, the company planted the seeds for an upcoming feud between the chief operating officer and his former protege.
By taking the pedigree from Triple H, Rollins has been double-crossed, making him a sympathetic figure who should now begin the transition to a face character. The stage was set for Rollins to become a good guy following his return from a knee injury, but WWE officials didn’t follow through with his momentum.
Now it’s clear that the long-term goal will be to book a match between Rollins and Triple H, but how they get there and when the battle takes place will make for an interesting next few months.

Here are the best booking options for the storyline between Rollins and Triple H following Monday's Raw.
WWE Saves Rollins vs. Triple H for WrestleMania 33
Triple H has become a part-time Superstar who thrives on the big stage, and saving the inevitable Rollins vs. Triple H match for WrestleMania 33 would make for a marquee addition to the biggest show of the year.
Holding the match off for several months would force WWE Creative to tell a convincing story explaining why Rollins waited so long for revenge, but the time can be used to slowly turn him face without forcing him down the throats of the WWE Universe.
In the meantime, Rollins could also challenge Roman Reigns to become No. 1 contender for the universal title and repair their relationship. He then would go on to fight Owens in a series of matches that would be fantastic.
Add in Triple H possibly costing Rollins the championship again, and a slow build to the eventual blow-off at WrestleMania 33 would be the ideal way to book the personal battle between Triple H and Rollins.

Rollins Fights Triple H at Survivor Series
Survivor Series is one of the few interpromotional events of the year for WWE, and adding a marquee match like Rollins vs. Triple H to the November card would instantly make it a must-see show.
The battle between Rollins and Triple H would be better saved for the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania, but the protege standing up to his teacher and beating him in a brutal battle heading into WrestleMania season would cement a face turn for Rollins.
There is always the chance that WWE keeps Rollins heel, but with the recent injury to Finn Balor, the Raw brand needs legitimate top faces. With Reigns getting negative reactions and the WWE Universe practically begging to cheer Rollins, now is the perfect time for a turn.
Next week on Raw, Triple H should come out and get ready to explain himself when Rollins hits the ring and gets physical with his former mentor. The ensuing altercation would spark the fight that should lead to Rollins pinning Triple H at Survivor Series.
