Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton Rematch Scheduled: Date, Comments, Reaction
As if Brock Lesnar didn't already beat Randy Orton comprehensively enough at SummerSlam, the Beast Incarnate will have another crack at the Viper.
Orton tweeted Monday a rematch is scheduled for Sept. 24 in Rosemont, Illinois.

The Allstate Arena also released a promotional video on Facebook for the live event:
The news is somewhat surprising since their first match didn't leave any lingering questions as to who was the better wrestler. Lesnar won by technical knockout after he bloodied Orton to the point he could no longer continue.
Orton required 10 staples after the match to close the cut on his head.
WWE did, however, leave open the possibility of a Raw vs. SmackDown Live storyline, after Lesnar delivered an F-5 to SmackDown commissioner Shane McMahon following his win over Orton. Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon said on the Aug. 22 edition of Raw that Lesnar's actions would have consequences, courtesy of WWE:
She fined Lesnar only $500, further stoking the flames of a potential rivalry between Shane and Stephanie.
The timing of Orton and Lesnar's rematch may not be a coincidence, as it comes one night before the Raw-branded Clash of Champions pay-per-view in Indianapolis. That leaves open the possibility that Lesnar could quickly transition to a different feud at the PPV after he's done with Orton.
Of course, this rematch could be nothing more than WWE wanting to draw attention to one of its live events. The Beast wrestled Rusev, Luke Harper, Sheamus, The Big Show and Alberto Del Rio in the recent past in one-off matches that didn't serve any long-term storytelling.
Sooner or later, though, WWE will address Shane's issues with Lesnar, with the payoff likely to come down the line at a major show such as Survivor Series, Royal Rumble or WrestleMania.
