High School RB Jaylen Ivey Ejected, to Be Suspended for Kicking Defender
One week after exploding for seven touchdowns in the season opener for Missouri's Blue Springs High School, star running back Jaylen Ivey was ejected for kicking an opposing player Friday night.
As seen in this video, courtesy of Deadspin, Ivey kicked a prone Lee's Summit West defender after he was tackled on one of the final plays of a 21-20 Blue Springs victory:
According to Vernon Tarver of the Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette, Ivey was ejected and will also be suspended for Blue Springs' game at Fayetteville (Arkansas) on Friday.
The 5'10", 197-pound junior is ranked as the No. 603 overall player in the country and the No. 11 recruit from the state of Missouri by MaxPreps.
Ivey failed to score a touchdown Friday after his seven-score outburst in the opener, and his absence figures to put Blue Springs at a big disadvantage against Fayetteville.
