Manchester United Transfer News: Latest on Fabinho and Joao Miranda Rumours
Monaco right-back Fabinho is reportedly free to join Manchester United this summer after scoring the winner in the club's UEFA Champions League tie with Villarreal on Tuesday.
According to France Football (h/t the Telegraph's Richard Amofa), Monaco's qualification for the Champions League group stage has activated a deal between the Brazilian and the Ligue 1 outfit that allows him to join United, and he "is now likely to become the club's fifth signing of the summer."
The 22-year-old's wife, Rebecas Tavares, further fuelled speculation by following the Red Devils on Instagram, per Amofa.

Fabinho is one of the most exciting players in the French top flight outside of Paris Saint-Germain. An exceptional attacking full-back, he has scored twice already this season and notched eight goals and five assists in all competitions last year.
Here are some of his Ligue 1 stats from last season, courtesy of Squawka:
| Apps | 34 |
| Tackles | 89 |
| Interceptions | 76 |
| Aerial Duels | 62 |
| Clearances | 98 |
| Chances Created | 25 |
| Take-Ons | 29 |
A selection of his highlights can be seen below:
The marauding Brazilian is not only exceptional going forward but he's also astute defensively, possessing excellent awareness of when to push up and when to stay back, while his height helps him deal with aerial balls.
Bleacher Report UK's Sam Tighe and Jonathan Johnson are admirers of the player:
While United already have Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian, Fabinho would be worth considering.
Meanwhile, according to Claudio Colla of TransferMarketWeb, United manager Jose Mourinho has made contact with Inter Milan regarding centre-back Joao Miranda.

The Brazilian, formerly of Atletico Madrid, is said to be "quite disappointed by Frank de Boer's start" as Inter head coach and is open to leaving.
The 31-year-old is an experienced and composed figure at the back, offering a stark contrast to the team's other defenders, according to Inter writer Aadam Ahmed:
Should United fail to land Southampton's Jose Fonte—whom Colla notes has not been given up on—Miranda could make a solid addition to their squad.
