Barcelona Transfer News: Latest on Claudio Bravo and Jasper Cillessen Rumours
Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has arrived in England to complete his move to Manchester City. He joins Pep Guardiola's Sky Blues in the Premier League while Jasper Cillessen of Ajax is chased by Luis Enrique and FC Barcelona.
Lyall Thomas of Sky Sports reported the Chilean player had touched down in anticipation of meeting with Guardiola, "ahead of a medical and a finalisation of personal terms."
Guardiola has moved with speed to poach the Barca No. 1 after England stopper Joe Hart fell down the pecking order after pre-season preparations.

However, Guardiola has refused to completely dismiss the former Premier League winner from his plans, according to Joe Short of the Express.
"I have said many times that he [Hart] is a player for us and I work with all the players that are here," said Guardiola. "It’s easier to work with small squads. We have a huge squad right now and in the Premier League, there are more games and more physical games."
Ajax goalkeeper Cillessen might be brought to Barcelona to add competition to the role between the sticks, with Marc-Andre ter Stegen expected to take the reins after Bravo's exit to City.
Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo (h/t Adriana Garcia of ESPN FC) reported the Netherlands international "will arrive in Barcelona by Friday to sign a five-year contract."
Here is the Dutchman in action:
Former Ajax and Barcelona midfielder Ronald De Boer has said Cillessen has the experience needed to thrive in Spain if he completes his move from Amsterdam.
De Boer told Moises Llorens of AS (h/t Garcia): "Cillessen is not a newcomer. He has been playing for some time at the top level and I'm certain he will battle hard with Ter Stegen to play."
The 27-year-old started 33 games in the Eredivisie last term, according to Garcia, and is under contract with Ajax for another two years.
Spanish football expert Sergi Dominguez doesn't believe Cillessen is the right man for Barcelona as Bravo leaves for the north-west:

Cillessen was famously substituted by former Netherlands boss Louis van Gaal ahead of a penalty shootout at the 2014 World Cup, and he is not considered a top-class shot stopper in the mould of Bravo.
Cillessen has rarely been viewed as a transfer target for Europe's biggest clubs but could do a job at Barcelona if he is purchased to sit on the bench as cover.
Ter Stegen has the potential to be one of the world's elite 'keepers, and the sale of Bravo will help expedite his progression.
Cillessen is an average talent at best, but he would be a solid option to have available if the 24-year-old German starlet gets injured or needs a rest during busy periods of the calendar.
