But they aren't the only party surfacing to prove their existence.

Mermaids have also re-emerged, utilizing the team's training camp as a platform to prove their presence within the world—and getting a few hugs from their favorite players in the process.

And the athletes themselves, particularly Will Hayes, were more than willing to advocate on behalf of their cause.
