Team USA's Elena Delle Donne, Nike Provide Delaware Newborns with Sneakers

The future generation is already off to a fast start.

Thanks to Nike and Elena Delle Donne of Team USA and the Chicago Sky, every baby born at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware, this weekend received a pair of minuscule sneakers, according to NBC10's Tim Furlong.

Both Delle Donne and Nike had pledged to provide the kicks following a gold-medal finish for the female hoops squad in the 2016 Rio Olympics—a safe bet for a team that has now been victorious in six consecutive Games.

If Delle Donne hadn't already won the WNBA's highest accolade last season, this act of kindness would most certainly make her the real MVP.
