There were four games on the schedule for Sunday, featuring teams in the winners' bracket from both the United States and international pools.
The delay does cause the Little League organizers to bunch more games together, but it will at least keep things on track to finish Sunday.
Dave Skutnik of the Red Cross provided a current image of the weather in Williamsport. It isn't bad at the moment, but steady rains early in the afternoon made the field difficult to navigate even with tarp on the infield:
The Little League World Series schedule at this stage typically features four games in one day. Moving the slate back an extra 24 hours will force the grounds crew to remain on top of things, but the kids won't complain about getting an extra day in Little League's most hallowed venue.
