Manchester United Transfer News: Fabinho Targeted by Jose Mourinho, Top Rumours
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly revived his interest in AS Monaco defender Fabinho as he looks to add further strength to the Red Devils back line.
According to Marca (via Sport Witness), the Portuguese manager is prepared to move for the Brazilian following his long links to the Manchester club, and Fabinho could make a €30 million (£26 million) switch to Old Trafford.
Fabinho, 22, is already an accomplished right-back who can also play as a defensive midfielder, and he would be an astute addition to Mourinho's squad.

The former Chelsea boss has added four excellent signings already this summer, but right-back is still a concern, per Bleacher Report's Sam Tighe:
Mourinho's current options are Antonio Valencia, who is more naturally a right-winger, and Matteo Darmian.
Ecuadorian Valencia, 31, started on the right of defence in United's 2016-17 Premier League opener against Bournemouth on Sunday and played well.
He also has plenty of experience at right-back, having been intermittently utilised there as far back as Sir Alex Ferguson's tenure.
However, he is not naturally defensive and can come unstuck against better sides if he is caught out of position.
Fabinho, meanwhile, has excellent defensive attributes. He is strong in the tackle and level-headed, while he would also add necessary physicality to United's defence.
Furthermore, the Brazil international is impressive in attack—as is demanded of most modern full-backs—and returned six goals and four assists in 34 Ligue 1 appearances in 2015-16, per WhoScored.com.
Fabinho is contracted to Monaco until 2019, so United would have to shell out a significant fee to sign him up.
However, given that he is some way from his peak and likely to only get better, he could prove a valuable asset for United in the long term, and Fabinho could be tempted by a move to United to play under Mourinho in the Premier League.
