Bruce Arians Hospitalized: Updates on Cardinals Coach's Status and Recovery

Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians was admitted to the hospital on Aug. 16 after experiencing stomach pains, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Cardinals vice president of media relations Mark Dalton announced Arians has been released from the hospital and rejoined the team at a hotel in San Diego on Thursday. 

He is expected to coach in the Cardinals' preseason game against the San Diego Chargers on Friday, according to Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports.

On Tuesday, Dalton provided the following details regarding Arians' status:

Kent Somers of AZCentral.com noted that the coach was not disoriented when he was taken to the hospital. 

Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu expressed concern on Twitter:

The 63-year-old Arians is a two-time NFL Coach of the Year who led the Cardinals to a 13-3 record last season and has brought Arizona to the playoffs in each of the past two seasons.
