Olympic 2016 Medal Count: Monday's Latest Nation Rankings and Standings
Team USA still leads the medal table at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, despite some disappointment for Simone Biles in the women's balance beam final on Monday.
She couldn't collect a fourth gold medal at these Games but still managed to add a bronze to her nation's healthy tally. There was some compensation when fellow Team USA member Laurie Hernandez won silver in the same event.
Meanwhile, Team GB collected more medals after Charlotte Dujardin took gold in the equestrian dressage individual freestyle final.
Here's what the medal count looks like after Monday:
Recap
While the expected nations continued to collect medals, it was also a good day for those who previously found them harder to come by. In particular, the Netherlands saw two of its women claim gold.
The first came via Sharon van Rouwendaal winning the women's 10-kilometre marathon swimming. She claimed victory by a "staggering 17.4 seconds," after a major surge over the final lap, according to NBC New York.

Her amazing effort may end up being overshadowed somewhat by Sanne Wevers' upset of Biles on the beam. The former posted a final score of 15.466 to end Biles' quest for a quartet of gold medals in Brazil.
Ironically, it wasn't Biles who came closest to gold for Team USA. Instead, 16-year-old Laurie Hernandez did her best to put Wevers' mark under pressure.
In the end, though, Wevers was anointed the "first Dutch woman to win an Olympic gymnastics medal," per BBC Sport.
Still, Briles will be able to add her bronze to the one collected by fellow Team USA athlete Emma Coburn earned earlier in the women's steeplechase. NBCOlympics relayed a highlight of her medal-worthy finish:
Dujardin added to a Team GB medal count that swelled significantly over this past weekend when she and her horse Valegro defended their Olympic title. It marked a piece of Olympic history for Dujardin and her country, according to MailOnline's Joseph Curtis and Nick Fagge: "Dujardin's win made her Britain's joint most successful female Olympian with Laura Trott on three gold medals."
Mark Cavendish still has the chance to add to Team GB's burgeoning medal tally in the men's omnium points race in the cycling.
