Olympic Gymnastics 2016: Live Results, Highlights from August 14

Simone Biles secured her third gold medal of the 2016 Rio Olympics on Sunday afternoon.

Biles—who had already earned golds in the team and all-around competitions—recorded a resounding victory in the vault. Her 15.966 was well ahead of Maria Paseka (Russia; 15.253) and Guilia Steingruber (Switzerland; 15.216).

Madison Kocian came up just short in the uneven bars final, posting a 15.833 score that only trailed Aliya Mustafina (Russia; 15.900), who won the gold medal in the 2012 London Games, too.

Max Whitlock (Great Britain) claimed the gold in both the floor exercise and pommel horse. Alexander Naddour took bronze in the latter event, giving the United States its first men's gymnastics medal at this summer's Olympics.
