Philadelphia Eagles offensive guard Brandon Brooksย was forced to leave the team's preseason opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a right bicep injury.

Brooks Expected to Provide Anchor on Interior of Eagles Offensive Line

Philadelphia investedย $40 millionย over five years in the mammoth guard this spring, and he battled aย hamstring injuryย at the start of training camp that had already hindered his availability throughout the summer.

If Brooks would have had to miss time, the Eagles would have turned to veteran offensive linemanย Stefan Wisniewski, who is capable of plugging in at right guard or center in a pinch.ย
